Brett Hurt definitely knows what he is talking about when it comes to word-of-mouth marketing. In 2009 Brett Hurt was named Entrepreneur of the year in Austin by Ernst & Young and is the Founder & CEO of Bazaarvoice, the leading "social commerce" solution provider in the industry. Bazaarvoice powers ratings and reviews (among other products and services) for 595 companies in 36 countries. Chances are you have used his service when visiting sites like Best Buy, Dell, or QVC.
Brett serves on the board of directors of Shop.org and is an advisory board member to our very own fabeetle. His guidance and knowledge of digital world of word-of-mouth is of tremendous value as fabeetle develops such a transformative solution.
The following was an interview that fabeetle conducted with him recently aimed at answer some of the questions many have about the shift of ratings and reviews from products to services that is happening at such a rapid pace. In addition, Brett talks specifically to the world of the financial advisor and how this "freight train" will affect them.
