fabeetle is a platform where clients can rate, review and research financial advisors,
the firms they work for, and the products and services they offer. This platform allows
the truly talented and experienced FAs and firms to emerge from the negative
perceptions and connect with an educated customer who is actively seeking that expertise.
Investor Awareness Kit - Zahid Jafry of Onus Consulting Group
As a welcome side effect of our efforts here at fabeetle, we have been introduced to a number of great people and I wanted to take a second to point out a piece that I thought was pretty valuable. Zahid Jafry contacted us very early on and has been a huge supporter of our mission. Zahid is the founder of Onus Consulting Group a Canadian based company that helps investors find competent council - much like fabeetle. In browsing his site early on I came across his "Investors Awareness Kit" and felt it was a very well done piece. I asked Zahid if he would be comfortable with us highlighting it on our blog and he thankfully said yes. You can see his caption below and follow the link to download the PDF.
FA Beta Registration Closing...
Thanks to all the FAs who have signed up for the fabeetle beta. We have reached our target number and at the current pace will close the registration process sometime by Friday (if not before). We are thrilled at the response and very thankful for those that have chosen to help us test and develop fabeetle. Again, our goal is to create a platform that benefits both clients and advisors alike and raises the quality of wealth management as we know it.
Response: A Power Shift Between Adviser and Client
This blog posting is in a response to an article by Kevin Noblet, A Power Shift Between Advisor and Client, posted on the Wall Street Journal Blog on 10/02/09. You can view it here
fabeetle's Response:
I think that this article is right on. This shift is happening but I think it extends beyond the role of being involved in the planning process. I think that clients are demanding more transparency all around. They have lived in an environment where the world of financial advising has been locked behind methodologies, statistics, and past performance hypotheticals. Clients now want to know what their FAs are going to do, why they are going to do it, and how others like them have resulted from such an engagement. In fact I think there are three demands clients are making of their wealth management relationships.
